Story
Hey there :)
On the 30th of October 2020, I'm going to sleep rough for one night to support the work of Rough Edges, a non-government organisation aiming to minimise the struggles of Sydney's homeless population.
As I frequent the CBD on a daily basis, I constantly see homeless people suffering and trying their best to deal with the unjust cards they have been dealt.
As a privileged teenager, I feel a sickening amount of guilt as I watch individuals and even families' situations worsen everyday while most of us are only able to spare them a small amount of change. We must invest ourselves into projects like Rough Edges and donate in order to truly make a long-term difference!
I'm making a difference by fundraising to support people experiencing homelessness and marginalisation within the city I live in.

St John's Community Services Limited (Rough Edges)
St John's Community Services Limited was established to fund and maintain a number of targeted services for the disadvantaged and marginalised in the Darlinghurst and Kings Cross area. Including:
Rough Edges Cafe -a place for the street community to have a coffee, enjoy a free meal and spend time together in a safe and welcoming environment
Banksia Women - a safe, judgement free space for women who have experienced domestic and family violence
St Johns Legal Service - we contract a solicitor to assist those needing help with free legal services and referrals.
